Cub ScoutsKindergarten – 5th Grade (Pack Meeting Locations & Contacts)
How old (or young) does my child need to be to join Cub Scouting?
Cub Scouting is for youth in the Kindergarten through fifth grades, or 5 to 10 years of age. Youth who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Scouts BSA or Venturing program.  If a Pack is offering the Lions Program, youth may join if they are 5 years old by September 30 and not yet 7 years old.

Being a Cub Scout
In Cub Scouting you’ll have lots of fun, adventure, and activities with your den and pack. But there’s more to it than that. Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for
certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It’s all about the person you are and the person you will become.

What is Scouts BSA?
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for youth in fifth grade through high school that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves.

In Scouts BSA, young men and women go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else.

For the first time in its 100+ year history, the iconic program of the Boy Scouts of America is open to young women as well as young men, all of whom will have the chance to earn Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.
