Friends of Scouting
As you plan your program for the upcoming year, please include a Family Friends of Scouting presentation during the months of November, December, January, February, March, or April. Schedule your presentation.
Did you know: The $60 annual Scouting registration fee goes directly to the national office of the Boy Scouts of America. If a Scout unit collects dues, that money stays with the unit to help pay for supplies, advancements and other activities. The Friends of Scouting campaign provides support to our Council to create great programs and maintain our camps. The funds raised in this effort stays here in our Council!
Friends of Scouting (FOS) is the annual giving campaign of the Greater St. Louis Area Council. The FOS campaign provides 22% of the Council budget every year. That means nearly a quarter of every dollar in the council budget comes from the generosity of Scouting families, alumni and community supporters. Without this funding, our council could not provide the resources necessary to provide a quality, adventure-filled scouting program.
Your generous tax-deductible gift to the Greater St. Louis Area Council, which provides direct funding for Scouting’s life-changing programs that program fees alone do not cover, is a statement about your belief in Scouting and helping young people grow into successful adults.
Please help keep Scouting strong in our area by contributing now to the Friends of Scouting campaign.
