Welcome Joe Blasko, New District Executive

Please welcome Joe Blasko as a new member of the Greater St. Louis Area Council staff. Joe started as District Executive in Black Gold District effective June 16, 2017.
Joe is a native of Springfield, IL. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Quincy University and an Associates of Liberal Arts from Springfield College in Illinois. He began his professional career in Minneapolis/St. Paul with stints in both the public and not for profit sectors. Previous roles have been working for a Minnesota governor, a US senator, a state senator, and at the TwinWest Regional Chamber of Commerce as Director of Community Affairs. For the last eight years, Joe has worked at the American Cancer Society as Senior Manager for Hospital Systems. He is also active in Kiwanis, having served in numerous leadership roles on the club, district, and international levels. Joe and his wife Barbara have been married five years. The two of them, along with their cat “Lucky,” are relocating from Kansas City, MO.

Where did Nick Schubert go? He’s now serving as District Executive in St. Clair District – a move that allows him the opportunity to be closer to his home, family, and resources for his children. We wish him the best in his new role!
