UPDATES:

Closure

All summer camps have been cancelled.  Service centers and Scout shops will be open starting June 1st (Belleville will be open starting June 2nd, as their schedule is Tuesday-Saturday). All customers must wear a mask and practice social distancing while in the facilities. For the most recent communication, click HERE 

GSLAC is relaxing the suspension of face-to-face Scout meetings and activities under certain requirements:

• All local and state governments, both where the unit is chartered and where the meeting or activity is to take place must clearly permit the activity in terms of gathering size and ability to maintain proper social distancing. All of their and the Federal CDC guidelines must be followed for all phases of the meeting or activity (such as feeding, housing/tents, swimming etc.).
• Chartered organizations must approve in person activities and/or meetings prior to restoring them. Units should also consult with their chartered organization to determine the best path forward for the unit’s Scouting programs.
• Parents should be surveyed and a majority of the parents in the Scouting unit must approve restoring in person activities.
• All meetings and activities are to take place outdoors.

Advancement

There have been temporary changes to advancement procedures during the suspension of Scout meetings. Click HERE for more information.

Eagle Extension: Scouts will need to download Extension Request COVID-19 Form to file for an extension. Once the form is completed they will need to email the form to eagle@stlbsa.org.  Once the form is turned into the council office we will send out the form for district advancement chairs and the council advancement chair to approve. Scouts will receive a letter from the council office stating they have been approved for the extension. They will need to bring this letter to the council office when they turn in their Eagle application.  All applications should be submitted prior to the scout’s 18th birthday. Request must be submitted by Sept. 30, 2020 and can be a maximum of 3 months. More detailed information on extension guidelines can be found HERE.

Camp

Council will be offering Outdoor Family Experience 2020, allowing families in the same household to reserve campsites.  Click HERE for the website, and HERE for latest updates.

Camp Cards

The Camp Card sale will be extended until May 8th. Please continue to sign up for baseball tickets HERE if your scout has sold 20+ cards!  The revised return dates are as follows:

There will be opportunities to sell in the future for interested units.  When mailing payments, download and fill out the 2020 Camp Card Return Sheet to submit with the payment. Please send payments to:

Service centers are scheduled to be open to the public on June 1st.  After that opening, you will have until June 30th to return unsold cards (payments are still due on May 29th).
