NYLT
Why attend NYLT?
Through this weeklong outdoor training, male and female Scouts grow and improve their leadership skills while following the guidelines of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. NYLT is conducted during summer camp.
Scouts earning the NYLT shield are better prepared to interact with adult leaders and face the challenges and demands ahead. This course is offered to both male and female scouts. NYLT course fee is $280.

Scouts BSA and Venturing Summer Camp
The Greater St. Louis Area Council offers one of the premier summer camp experiences in the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts and Venturers will encounter challenges they first thought were beyond their ability and find programs that stir the imagination. Using the outdoors as our classroom, campers will build character and skills that can be used in their everyday lives. From our facilities, to our staff, to our food, summer camp is better in the Greater St. Louis Area Council.
Scouts and Venturers also have the option of attending any of our many specialty camps. These include Catholic Adventure Week, STEM Camp, the S-F Ranger Program, Boy Scout Week at Swift, Horse Camp, and Eagle Trail Week. We also offer six sessions of National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), which helps youth build their leadership skills and take that next challenge! Osage Day Camp
Day Camp is an opportunity to have tons of fun, learn new skills, and experience exciting scouting activities all while making new friends. These camps are available to any age cub scout and open to siblings!

2019 Day Camp
- For girls and boys, Scouts and non-Scouts, ages 7-11 (7 years old or entering 1st grade in the Fall of 2019-must be accompanied by an adult partner)
- STEM activities included with this year’s Out of This Galaxy! Theme
- Healthy, fun outdoor activities
- Archery, BB guns, slingshots, fishing, hiking and games!
Union Day Camp is held at Union City Park located in Union, MO. This camp is held Monday-Friday from 9:00AM– 2:00PM July 22-26. Units should plan for their own leaders for this camp. Questions regarding this camp, contact Camp Director Betty Hrdlicka at 636-358-0749 or bettyhrdlicka@gmail.com
Sullivan Twilight Camp is held at Sullivan Fair Grounds located in Sullivan, MO. This camp is held Monday-Friday from 5:30pm-9:00PM July 22-26. This camp offers pre check-in on Saturday and Sunday July 20 and 21 from 3pm-5pm. Stop by and check-in early before camp starts on Monday. Units should plan for their own leaders for this camp. Grizzly Day Camp at Beaumont
Grizzly Day Camp offers multiple sessions, each with its own unique theme. Activities revolve around each theme in crafts and outdoor activities. Kids especially love heading over to Cub World to play on the pirate ship, in the miner’s camp, and the playground. Leadership is provided by a paid staff, but parents are welcome to attend and participate with their kids for one day or the entire week, if they are able.
Before/After Care is available: Before Care is 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and After Care is 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for an additional fee.
All sessions take place at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Additional weeks are just $95 per session!

Overnight Cub Scout Camp, & Cub Scout Family Camp
Cub Scout overnight camps – Webelos Camp, Arrow of light Camp, and Cub Adventure Camp are great opportunities for your Scouts to start out the year with a few Adventures/Advancements well underway and completed, while having a super fun time at camp!
Family Camps are opportunities for Scouts to spend a day and a night, over a weekend, at one of our properties, sharing the fun of the outdoors with mom, dad, and Cub Scout-aged siblings! In addition to Family Camp, we have Dad and Lad Camp in April, and Mom and Me camp in September.
Summer Camps are in June and July, at Camp May (Beaumont), Warren Levis, Pine Ridge, and Lewallen.
