The Microsoft Store is currently offering virtual workshops for Scouts through June. See below for details, dates, and registration links:
Scouts – Virtual Workshop for Students – Code your own video game with MakeCode Arcade, ages 8+ (Day 1 & Day 2)
In this virtual two day workshop series, students eight and older use block-based coding to create a video game with MakeCode Arcade. Students learn fundamental game and coding concepts like sprites, variables, and coordinates, and use their new skills to create and customize a playable game. This program fulfills all the requirements for the Webelos Game Design Adventure. Scouts must have completed the Cyber Chip in order to participate. Registrations are limited. Scouts – Virtual Workshop for Students – Start Your Own Business, ages 8+ (Day 1 & Day 2)
In this virtual two day workshop series, students eight and older learn how to turn their passions into an entrepreneurial business idea. Students get guidance on how to create a business plan and a polished pitch ready to share with others. Scouts must have their Cyber Chip in order to participate. By the end of the two day workshop, students will have:

Virtual Workshop for Students – The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History’s “Hall of Fossils” Tour
Travel millions of years to the past without leaving your home.In this workshop, students ages 8+ are transported to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History right from their web browser using 360-degree interactive imagery.Scouts must have completed their Cyber Chip in order to participate. Scouts should bring a merit badge card with them. Sessions are on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Click the badges below to pick a session and get registered.

Cub Scout Workshops
At the end of the session, the Scouts will get a certificate of completion and a Microsoft Store patch. During their two hours they will also have a short period of free time so they can have hands-on experience with the newest technology that they will see in the store. All registration for the workshops is done online, no walk-ins are allowed. Scouts should wear their uniform. There is a $5 fee for Adventure Belt Loop workshops per each Scout and a $10 fee per Scout for the Merit Badge workshops. Fees can be paid by check or credit card.
All proceeds benefit the STEM programs of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, BSA. Microsoft has been generous to provide staff, materials, time, and program content to host these quality sessions for our local Scouts.
