Religious Emblems Program and Materials

September 08, 2020

A SCOUT IS REVERENT

The GSLAC Black Gold District Roundtable is promoting the BSA Religious Emblems Program for 2020. Our goal is to have 20 Black Gold District Scouts recognized for earning their religious emblems award on Scout Sunday 2021. In the trying times of COVID-19 pandemic the religious emblems program are excellent extensions to unite families, Scouts, units, communities, and churches during this unprecedented era.

The religious emblems program is coordinated by the BSA, but is delivered locally through partnerships between Scouts and their religious leaders. Unit leaders have been provided resources to help coordinate parents, Scouts, and religious leaders through the process of earning a religious emblems award from Cub Scout through Scouts BSA.

Ask your unit leader this summer about the religious emblems program for Protestant and independent Christian Churches, get registered, and explore your spiritual growth in scouting this fall. The P.R.A.Y. Program starts with Cub Scouts earning God and Me and graduating to God and Family. Scouts BSA continues with God and Church and finish with God and Life.

Catholic Scouts are encouraged to visit the Catholic Committee on Scouting for webpage (http://www.diobellescouts.org/) or on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/diobellescouting) for information on courses being offered for religious emblems programs in the Diocese of Belleville.
